Tallahatchie County Back to School Expo 2024

Thank you to all community partners and families who came together to make this year’s Tallahatchie County Back to School Expo a success! Across both sides of the county, nearly 450 families participated to gear up and receive free items for the upcoming school year. The items received were:

  • 900+ school uniforms
  • 240 backpacks, school supplies, books, child ID cards and more
  • 520 diapers
  • 53 packs of feminine and incontinence product packs

  • “It helped the parents to get a headstart on getting their child/children uniforms and backpacks, especially if they have several children to provide for.”

  • Angie Jennings, Director, West Tallahatchie Head Start

  • We appreciate the generous participation from our community partners and donors, who helped the Tallahatchie Early Learning Alliance purchase school uniforms and backpacks for Tallahatchie County students in grades K-12.
