Pre-K Playground Groundbreaking at West Tallahatchie Headstart

On Monday, May 20, members of the community joined representatives West Tallahatchie Headstart, the Institute of Community Services, Incorporated, Project Headstart, and the Tallahatchie Early Learning Alliance at a playground groundbreaking ceremony at West Tallahatchie Headstart. The playground construction project is financed by the Institute of Community Services and TELA donations supported by Mississippi’s Pre-K tax credit program.

“Corretta Cannon – Miller, ICS Supervisor said “We, at the Institute of Community Services, Incorporated, Project Headstart, are overwhelmed and elated about the joint partnership with TELA regarding the Playground Upgrade Project at the West Tallahatchie Head Start.  We are grateful, to say the least, that our number one priority, our students, will benefit from such an awesome collaborative endeavor.”

“It is our hope that this project will be one of many that will be the pride and joy of our agency, staff, students, and other community stakeholders.  We are indeed a TEAM.  Together, Everyone Achieves More.  We thank you for your continued support of our daily efforts to Make Small Miracles a Great Success.”
