The Eula Johnson Early Learning Playground Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was held at Charleston Elementary School on December 18, 2023. Mrs. Johnson was a former teacher in the East Tallahatchie School District with 48 years of teaching experience. She began teaching in 1975 and taught 35 years in the classroom. Since retiring she has worked an additional 13 years part-time in the district. Her devotion and commitment to early childhood education is unmatched. She is a true pillar in the Charleston community and is loved and respected by many.
The funds for the wonderful renovation to the playground at Charleston Elementary School were made by a generous donor.
